"Tears of Joy" is the first song of the song cycle
"Songs from the riverside apartment"
Songs from the riverside apartment are created by Betty in London in an appartment near the Thames, where the tide brings flying story tellers to the shores and on some evenings sunsets can wrap you up in a warm and gentle light. From there the songs then travel to the tranquil countryside of southern Germany where Thomas gets his inspiration playing on his grandfathers cello (a Spiegel Cello 1940). After recording his ideas he magically transforms all tracks to a piece of music.

Cheek to cheek
we whispered in each others ears
When we were furious
the wind would wipe our tears

there was a miracle
underneath every stone
If we'd discover it
We'd never be alone

These are Tears of joy
From those times when we were happy
If the lights go out
We'll keep dancing anyway

We would play hide and seek
in an imagined cave
And if we'd found a trace
We would believe that we were safe

We would carve our names in trees
and followed hidden trails
And in the end we'd find ourselves
on the ghost rails

Betty Lenard London, UK

I am singing. I am writing.
I like to think about what's possible and why we think it's not. Music connects my inner world with the ouside.
I'd love to make a connection. With you.
Are you a listener? then tell me what you feel when you listen to my music. Do you want to connect with me through music? I'm happy to hear from you.
With Love, Betty
